Hi everyone! I hope you all had a nice start to your week. It’s been a while but I’m back with a new interiors post. So far during quarantine I’ve made a few changes in my apartment and added in some new pieces – including a new rug for my living room. Since moving in last year I have struggled to find the right rug for this space. I think I’ve gone through 2-3 different options up to this point. The ones I’ve found that didn’t work were either the wrong colour, bad quality or far too expensive for what they were. So the search continued until this week when I finally found the one (yay!). I think rugs are probably one of the hardest things to buy for your home and a lot of you seem to feel the same, judging from my Instagram DM’s. There are so many options to choose from online that it can be overwhelming (and verrrryyy time-consuming). So today I wanted to make it easier for you and share the best options I’ve come across throughout my search. I looked for a neutral rug for my space (the hardest to find in my opinion) so that is the kind I will be focusing on in this post. I’ve linked the best 16 options I saw below and I really hope this helps you find the one if you are currently searching.
Some of my favourite websites to shop for rugs on include Overstock, West Elm, Wayfair, Rugs USA, CB2, Amazon and Target. The one I ended up going with is this one from Overstock. When it first arrived I thought it might be a little too warm for the space but I’m now really happy with it. I also think the price is very fair for the quality. Another option I included is this braided one from Rugs USA that Kaelin actually recently bought. The knit design is so nice and again I think it looks more expensive than it is. Kaelin has said that he does shed slightly but nothing a vacuum can’t handle. I was also very close to purchasing this one from Etsy. It looks really luxurious and the reviews are great. Oh and one more I was very close to buying is this textured style. Something about it feels very rich and I think it would really add to a room.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful if you are looking for some neutral rugs for your home. A top tip when rug shopping is to always took at the reviews, especially the pictures. I also sometimes like the to search the product on Instagram to see if I can see it styled in someone’s home. That definitely helps to make your decision easier.
Have a great evening & chat soon,
