Hey everyone and welcome back! With each new year comes new ‘it bags’. Last year we saw the likes of the Prada 2005 Re-Edition, Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette and Fendi Baguette all over our Instagram feeds, just to name a few. So I thought I would try my best to predict what I think will replace these bags this year. We’ve already seen a lot of stunning new season bags and it’s only February so I’m very excited about what else is to come. I love investing in a new bag each year but I’m always wary of jumping on the it bag bandwagon so this kind of research usually helps me make good educated decisions. Hopefully it can do the same for you :)
Get ready to see this new Bottega Veneta style every where this year. It’s definitely one of my favourites on this list and I think it’s a much more versatile option than the pouch leather purse. I currently have my eye on this white mini version.
I saw this bag on a girl during NYFW and loved the shape and colour. I’m not sure if it’s totally my style but definitely a great more affordable option as designer bags go.
As I mentioned above we saw a lot of the 2005 Re-Edition at the end of 2019 which I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t crazy about. However, I much prefer the 2000 re-edition. It looks like a bag you would get a lot of wear out of and I love the shape. Right now the nude is my favoruite.
Gathered leather bags are definitely having a moment and this is another one that is quite popular right now. I think this is a really great option for Summer and one you would be able to style with many outfits. Staud rarely get it wrong.
Chanel brought out the ’19 bag’ collection at the end of last year but the bags seem to be on top of the 2020 it list. Chanel is my weakness so you already know that I love this style of bag. However I’m not sure I would go for an it bag like this when making a Chanel purchase.
Every year Gucci has one bag that everyone lusts over and this one seems to the winner this year. I actually don’t have any Gucci bags as I’ve never fallen in love with any of their styles. However I do love how classic this one is and it’s a good size. If I were to purchase, the black would be my first choice.
Another very popular bag during all of the fashion weeks was this Jaquemes style. I truly love this designer but when I first saw this bag I didn’t think it was one that I would buy or be able to style many ways. However since then I’ve seen it being styled more and definitely have a different opinion now. This is why it’s so important to do your research before splurging because the opposite of this situation could easily happen too.
This designer is new to me this year. I saw this bag on an blogger called @nycbambi and really liked how she styled it. It’s another take of the gathered leather we are seeing everywhere but a more delicate version. I love the gold detail on the front and it’s another affordable option. Overall this one gets a yes from me.
This was a new style of post for me on here so I hope you enjoyed it and please let me know if you like to see different variations.
Have a lovely evening & chat soon,
