Retro’s Winter Edit – The Best Black Jeans & Leather Leggings

Retro's Winter Edit - Black Jeans

Happy Friday everyone – I hope you all had a good week! It’s officially November which means its time to turn Retro’s Autumn Edit into Retro’s Winter Edit. A question I’ve been getting asked a lot lately, in relation to outfits I’m wearing, is what black jeans/leather leggings do I recommend most? So, to kick it off I wanted to answer this question. During this time of year I practically live in my black jeans/leather leggings so I’m not surprised this question has popped up. They are so versatille and you could honestly style a whole winter wardrobe around them. Therefore, it’s important to invest in the right pairs now. So, today I wanted to dedicate the whole post to them. I’ve gone in search for the best pairs out there and linked them below. As well as pairs that I have tried and tested and really love. I hope it helps you if you are on the search…

Lets start with jeans. I’ve tried so many different kinds of black jeans over the years so I now know exactly what to look for. There are a few pairs I just love and always go back to including this pair from River Island. I’ve been wearing that style for years and love them. I also own this pair from Rag & Bone and adore the quality. They are a little more pricey but they have lasted me for so long and the quality is amazing. Oh and one more pair I recently got was these ones from M&S and I would definitely recommend them – I love how high waisted they are.

Next up – leather leggings/trousers! I cannot stress this enough, if you do not have black leather leggings already you need to invest in a pair. Throughout Autumn/Winter every year I absolutely love styling these. I love the chic & dressy element they bring to an outfit and again they are so versatile. I’ve been living in this pair from Zara but they seem to be nearly sold out so I found some similar options. Like this pair from ASOS. I’ve also been getting in leather trousers this year as well and currently have my eye on this style from River Island. I have this pair from River Island too and definitely recommend them!

And last but not least, the perfect mix of the two options I already chatted about – coated black jeans. If you are not familiar with these, they are basically black jeans with a wet look. I love these because they feel as comfortable as a jean but make your outfit look a little more dressy with the leather look. Topshop is one of my go-to’s for this style. I have this pair and get so much wear out of them.

As always I really hope you found this helpful in your search for the perfect black bottoms. Especially those who have been curious over on my Instagram or YouTube.

Have a great weekend & chat soon,

x Erika
