Hi guys, Hope you all had a really great week! It’s officially Memorial Weekend here in the states which means Summer is in full swing and I must admit – I am very excited! As much as the heat drives me a little bit crazy over the Summer in New York, it is truly such a fun time here and I always look forward to it so much! I’m always ready to transition into my Summer Wardrobe and one of the most important investments I make each year are  new shoes (You may have seen my recent Designer Shoe Haul!) They really are such an important staple for all of your Summer outfits. Therefore, I have put together all the different styles I think you need in your wardrobe for the upcoming season, along with all my favourite picks from some of the top online sites, like Asos & River Island, at the moment!

Heeled Sandals

My number one necessity when it comes to shoes for the Summer months are heeled sandals. I find I wear them the most as they are perfect for both day & night and so comfortable for any events I attend here throughout the summer. The ones with a bit of a thicker platform like these gold ones from Asos are so comfortable to wear too which is a huge bonus. I think this statement pair of heels from River Island would be perfect for holidays too!

Flat Sandals

Usually on an everyday basis I am a boots kind of girl but unfortunately, Summer in New York is simply too hot for boots so flat sandals are my go to. Again, they are also so handy for holidays when you are heading to the beach or don’t feel like putting on heels some of the nights. I am obsessed with this pair from River Island & I think these plain black ones would be so handy to have!

Mules / Slip on’s

This is definitely a trend that is a blast from the past but is proving to be quite the popular one. I remember growing up my mom always wore mules – it’s so funny how styles repeat themselves. I will definitely be investing in a pair very soon as I love how they look with jeans. I also love the slip on trend that is accompanying them. My favourite’s online at the moment include this pair from River Island & these gorgeous white ones from Asos.

Trainers / Espadrilles

…And last but definitely not least – trainers & espadrilles! I for one find myself opting for white trainers so often lately. I think once you start it’s hard to stop because they are so comfortable and can actually make an outfit look very cool. You may have seen I recently purchased these Saint Laurent ones and I have a feeling I won’t be taking them off this Summer. I’ve also linked a really similar pair below. As for espadrilles, they are something I really want to try this Summer as I have no pairs in my collection right now. I have my eyes on these ones from Asos which are so affordable.
