I’m pretty sure I’ve developed my Winter uniform, without even realizing it. I’ve been living in chunky knitwear and leather pants and I don’t think this will be changing anytime soon. If you’ve been following along on snapchat (retroflame1) and Instagram (@retroflame) the last few days, you’ll know that I had an extra long weekend here in NYC. I took a few days off work as I had a visitor for the weekend and it was honestly one of my favourite weekends here in New York in a long time. There were nights out, meals at some of my favorite restaurants, walks around the city and even ice-skating in Central Park – something which had been on my list of things to-do for the longest time. It’s rare that I ever take a weekend fully-off and although I’ve spent the whole of today struggling to catch up, I loved everything minute of the break. January has been an extremely busy month so far. There are a few things which are quite up in the air for me at the moment but it’s slowly starting to look like things are coming together – in relation to work and just life in general. Timing is a very funny thing and although I’m an extremely impatient person by nature, I’ve had to learn to just trust it. It’s not always easy, but it’s important to remember that good things take time.

I’m back in work today and already thinking ahead to next weekend. 8 of us are heading upstate here in New York to go…skiing! I am SO excited but also so nervous, haha. I just know it’s going to be such a fun weekend and will be worth any bruises I come home with. As always, feel free to follow along on snapchat (retroflame1).
