Yesterday’s look in the sauna that is NYC. Wow, it is hot! Hence why I quickly shot these photos in a very shaded corner. Since I found this leather & lace skirt a few weeks ago, I literally have not stopped wearing it. Such a great piece to have in your wardrobe and amazing that it’s under $30/25euro. It’s tricky choosing work outfits here in the Summer because although it’s a million degrees outside, my office is usually quite chilly due to the air-conditioners (which I’m not complaining about). So I like to wear longer sleeves most of the time. It’s always good to have a print shirt on hand.

I found the above quote during a recent Pinterest browse and it really struck a chord. All week, I’ve been complaining to myself about this NYC heat, how tired I am, how much work I have to do…the list goes on & on. Not once have I stopped to sit down & have a think about all the good things in my life. I think I sometimes forget just how lucky I am to be here in New York and instead allow all the tiny daily-stresses (& my constant need for more) to take over. So as I write this post, I’m making a promise to myself and to you guys to focus on all those little joys instead. A smile from that cute guy on the train, the fact that I can walk to Central Park from my apartment, all the amazing friends I have here in NYC and most importantly, the fact that I’m healthy enough to simply get out of bed every morning & start a brand new day. Life is what you make it.
Hope your Wednesday is going good!

Do you really buy off Choies? Do you find it’s good? I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews especially shipping to Ireland? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi Shauna, I get my items shipped to the US and have never had a problem. But it may be different to Ireland? Maybe you could send them a quick email to confirm. Sorry I can’t be more of a help xx
