Asos Heels (Similar) // Serpui Clutch // Lulu’s Sunglasses (Similar)
I mentioned in yesterday’s post that Summer dressing just isn’t my favourite. But saying that, I’ve learned that if you have a few key pieces in your wardrobe, you can mix & match them into lots of different light & easy outfits. One of these key pieces are Midi Skirts. Such a simple style to wear during the Summer and also the perfect look to bring you from day/work to night. I’ve been on the search for a white pleated skirt for the last few weeks and I’m really happy with this one. More black and white, I know, but at least I added in a little color through this cute clutch from Brazilian brand, Serpui.

Last night, Lisa & I attended a blogger class here in New York and I must say that I came away very motivated. You may have seen Lisa on my Instagram & Snapchat (retroflame1) but if you haven’t, she’s a fellow NYC-based blogger who I met at fashion week last September. We got on so so well from the minute we met and I’m so glad to have found another great friend through blogging. Definitely the best part of it all!
White Pleated Skirt available HERE.
Retro Flame is over three years old now (crazy!!) but I’m happy to say that I still enjoy spending every last minute of my spare time working on it. Since moving to New York 9 months ago, I will admit that my spare time has definitely decreased, but my love for blogging, and Retro Flame, definitely hasn’t. Throughout the next few months, you guys are going to see some exciting changes here. Not because I’m not happy with what I have now, but there is always room for improvement. I’m definitely learning a lot by living here in New York and I’m looking forward to implementing new ideas. I’m in the process of adding in some fancy new features and will also be incorporating a lot more New York, Travel & Lifestyle content into my posts. Another part I’m also going to be focusing on is creating email newsletters/updates so that you guys will never a miss a post and this will also be a place for me to share some exclusive content. I’m signed up to receive emails from all my favourite bloggers, so I’m excited to create a Retro Flame one too. And that’s only the start of it :) If New York has taught me one thing it’s to always keep striving to improve.
Hope you’re all having a fantastic week!
