This outfit is a mix of two of my favourite things: Simple Black & Vintage. This black jumpsuit from The Reformation Petite Collection called – ‘Don’t call me cute’ (Love it!) – is just perfect. Low-cut but still not too over the top. I’m forever wishing that I was a little taller. I guess we’re all the same really, always wanting what we don’t have. But when one of my favourite NYC brands introduces a Petite Collection, I totally forget why I ever wanted to be tall. The whole collection has made me want to just fast-forward to festival season!
“Own who you are.”
In a world where we spend a lot of time comparing ourselves (the bad side to social media) it’s good to be reminded about the importance of always staying true to what is truly you. If you’re on the shorter/taller side – embrace it. If you want to wear something that may not be on trend or is a little unique – go for it. My vintage finds make up my most loved section of my wardrobe and I just know that this is something that will never change. I love designer pieces and the odd splurge here & there, but it’s the pieces I’ve rooted through jam-packed rails for that will always be my favourite. This sleeveless blazer being one of them. At the end of my first Summer in New York, I found it for $10 in the most random of vintage stores in Caroll Gardens in Brooklyn. Such a timeless piece that I will always have and something which will forever remind me of my love for New York.
Hope you’re all having a nice week!
