I know everyone is different, but my very favourite thing to spend money on is travel. At the time, it can seem like such a huge cost but honestly, it will stand to you a million times more than those three pairs of shoes you’ll be tired of next year. I must be starting to get sensible (and old!) but lately, I’m all about investing my money into experiences and right now, Summer travel plans.
Moving to New York last September was a pretty big step, to stay the least. It was an expensive, testing & quite intense experience getting set up here, so I held off on doing a lot of traveling throughout the past few months. I mean let’s face it, just being in New York was enough of a novelty. But now that I’m settled in -my travel bug has returned! And I’m so excited to have just booked some AMAZING trips! So where am I off to…
In two weeks time, I’m (finally) going to MIAMI for a weekend with the girls. This trip was in the works for ages and we honestly couldn’t be more excited! It’s really easy to get to Miami from New York and pretty reasonably priced too, so it was always somewhere I wanted to go. It will be so amazing to be back on a beach!
My next trip was definitely quite a spur of the moment decision. At the end of the month, I’m going to be flying to the South of France/French Riviera to meet my family for one full week. Just writing this makes me excited!! We’ll be staying in an area called Antibes and will be visiting Nice, Monaco, Cannes & more. It’s a trip that has been on my bucket list for the longest time, so I genuinely couldn’t be more excited. I’ve already started mentally planning outfits, so stay tuned for some wishlists/packing posts over the next few weeks. Oh and if any of you have any recommendations for restaurants, beaches, etc. I would love you to get in touch on my @retroflame Instagram or Snapchat (retroflame1).
Excited to bring you along with me!

Oooh lucky you, I love the south of France! I haven’t been to Antibes but I’ve been to all the other cities you’ll be visiting :) When you’re in Nice I recommend going for a walk right to the end of la Promenade des Anglaises, past the cruise ship port, and I can’t remember what it’s called but there’s a staircase you can take that goes to the top of the hill. The view is amazing! x
