I have a new found obsession with anything khaki green, suede or covered in Fringe. I just can’t get enough! I have a list a mile long of pieces I want to invest in for the season ahead, but in the meantime, I raided my wardrobe to see what I already had. This Fringe jacket is so fun to wear and I loved pairing with a vintage jumper I’ve had for years. I’ve also come across this similar one – which needs to transport itself to my wardrobe asap. In LOVE!

There’s something about Sunday’s in New York that’s just hard to describe. I don’t know what it is, but it’s pretty damn good. Me & the girls (on this occasion – LisaLorna & Louise) spent the most recent one in a very sunny West Village sipping on Matcha Lattes and eating waffles at Hamilton’s. Oh and of course, taking a million & one pictures in-between. But do you know what the best thing is? We all just get it. There’s nothing better than meeting people with crazily similar interests and I sometimes just can’t believe how many amazing new friends I’ve made since I’ve moved to New York.

My sister & I moved here more or less on our own last year (Kaelin’s now gone back home) and now the majority of my close gang of friends is made up of people I’ve met over here for the very first time. I’m not going to lie, I was seriously nervous about moving so far away without any of my closest friends, but you know what…everything just works out. Without even noticing, travel makes you braver than you ever could imagine. So if any of you are on the fence about taking that leap – I promise you a 100 times over, you will not regret it. Great things never came from comfort zones…

Hope you’re all having an amazing week!

Stylishly Yours,

Erika x

Love khaki and these types of colors lately as well. Looks so good. It’s so nice that you’ve been able to find community.

  3. I loved this post! I’ve had this desperate dream ever since I was little of moving to America, but it’s also quite a scary thought! You’re leaving behind everything you’ve ever known, including family that you love. This post was a really good read, especially the part about great things never came from comfort zones, that’s so true! It sounds like you’re living the dream :-) also, I love that hat and those boots!!
