My Shining Armour

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend! I wanted to share a quick post with you about some new additions to my (ever-growing) jewellery collection. If you follow my @retroflame Instagram, you’ll know that I have a quite the obsession with rings and delicate but eye-catching jewellery, in general.

I’m always on the search for new, good-quality pieces so when I was recently introduced to the My Shining Armour website – I fell in love! How cool is the name? I love brands that have a little story/sentimentality behind their name. The first item to catch my eye was the rose gold ‘Nail it’ Ring and when I saw that there was a matching bracelet, I had to have that too! I’ve seen lots of sets like this, but it’s the quality of this one which has won me over.

I wore both items here in New York yesterday and got so many compliments. The owner of this brand, Nicki, is also Irish and it always gives me so much satisfaction to tell people that I’m wearing something from an Irish-owned business. Admittedly, I’m usually more of a gold jewellery kind of girl but my friend, Nessa, has definitely encouraged me to introduce some rose gold pieces to my collection. She’s obsessed and I can see why!

As well as this beautiful set, I also invested in the Margaret Necklace, which you’ll see more of here on my blog this week. I’m definitely learning that it’s so much better to have a few good quality pieces which you can wear time & time again instead of a hundred pieces which just won’t last. Do you have a favourite piece from the site?

Hope you’ve all had a good start to the week and if you’re in NYC, hopefully you’re surviving this crazy, slushy weather!

Stylishly Yours,

Erika x

You’re right, I’ve seen so many cheaper looking versions of this design but these pieces are gorgeous – and better again that it’s an irish-owned business! I’ll have to go have a nosy and spend some money. :P
