“Surround yourself with people who get it.”
I was rummaging through my photos this morning (doing a little January clean-up) and came across these outfit snaps which I had totally forgotten about. I wore this outfit just before Christmas and my friend (& fellow blogger) Christine kindly took some photos for me at Bryant Park. This is a typical casual outfit of mine. If I can remember correctly, I spent that afternoon running between different meetings so flat boots & a big comfy jacket were essential. Oh and a little touch of pink to brighten things up. I can’t wait for the weather to get a bit warmer (a.k.a bearable) again. This past week has been freezing!
I’ve been off work for the past week due to illness, so as you can imagine I’ve had lots of time for thinking & planning for the year ahead. To be honest, I’ve never really been one to make annual New Year Resolutions as they never seem to last past the end of January. But this year, I’ve decided to come up with one main goal/rule to keep in mind throughout the whole of 2015 & hopefully longer. Thought for the year? “Surround yourself with people who get it.” So simple but so important. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting a little older or if I’m just beginning to change my perspective on things, but if the past year has taught me one thing it’s the importance of having encouraging, supportive & inspirational people around you. And of course, to be this type of person yourself too! I’m that girl who knows straight away whether I like someone or not. I know it sounds judgmental but I think when you know, you just know. I’m a big believer in that ‘click’. So let’s all work on getting rid of any unwanted negativity in 2015! Do you guys have any specific goals/thoughts for the year ahead?
Hope you’re all having a great week,
