I very recently featured his pleated skirt here on Retro Flame, but as soon as this Miu Miu bead-embellished jacket arrived last week from The Outnet – it immediately came to mind once again. The detail in this jacket is like nothing I’ve ever seen before and by adding a pop-of-colour, it seems to sparkle even more. There are lot of pieces in my wardrobe that I have ‘fallen in love with’ down through the years, but this jacket literally left me stuck for words when I first saw it. The fit, the embellishment, the colour -just utter perfection in jacket form! The Outnet is an online store which I browse nearly every single day as it always provides me with inspiration and of course, pieces to add to my never-ending wishlist. It’s a site which is home to AMAZING designer pieces and I’m always drawn staright to Tibi, Alexander Wang (especially these boots) and Helmut Lang.
Julia & I shot this look in The House Hotel in Galway, which as you can just imagine I am in love with. If you’re like me, and love girly, fun and detailed decor -this is a hotel you just have to visit. Oh and they also have the most amazing food, which you may have seen me post a picture of on my Instagram (@retroflame). I know there are quite a lot of photos included in the post but there was just so many that I was excited to show you. Working with Julia is always my favourite as her attention to detail is just immaculate!
Lastly, a quick little word on the quote I’ve used in today’s post. As I was finalising the post, I saw that an interview I did with Lorna Mcginn from OPSH had just been published (see it Here). So I clicked into it and came across the above line which I just couldn’t help but smile at! It’s such a funny (and very accurate) description of my style and I felt it was extremely suitable to the style in this particular post. I love my designer pieces (probably a bit too much) but more often than not, I always add some vintage touches to my outfits -something which I don’t think will ever change :)
Hope you enjoyed this post!

That jacket is beautiful! I love how you styled it with the bright skirt and lady like shoes. The house hotel is such a great spot. I think they also do the best cocktails in Galway!
