You may know from my Instagram that I spent my weekend at the amazing Four Seasons Dublin. I spent Friday and Saturday working on a photo shoot in the hotel (all to be revealed soon) and on Sunday I found time to squeeze in some relaxation. The Spa at the hotel have just introduced a brand new ‘Daytox’ Package and I was lucky enough to be one of the first to try it out. Designed to boost metabolism and bring an overall sense of well-being, the Daytox Package was such a lovely treat and the perfect end to an amazing weekend.
On Sunday morning, I started the day with a healthy breakfast in our room (really going to miss that!!). Lots of fruit, granola and and seeds. On arrival at the spa I then had a green juice full of kale, celery and other goodness (which was actually very tasty). I met with the personal trainer, Jenny (who is fantastic), who had a little chat with me to find out about my lifestyle, eating habits, etc. I’ll be the first to admit that I definitely don’t do enough exercise and often tend to skip meals so it was great to talk to someone like Jenny who gave me really helpful advice without giving out to me as such. As I currently work for myself, there are nights where I’m in my office until 11pm and as a result I find it extremely hard to switch off and sleep. So the assessment with Jenny has definitely encouraged me to rethink my lifestyle so that my productivity increases. We did a 45-min workout session where she demonstrated exercises which will really help my posture and we also did a little cardio. I’m definitely not one for crazy diets, so this assessment showed me how to gradually introduce exercise and a healthy eating pattern in order to achieve a better lifestyle in the long run.
After the workout, I had time to relax a little before having lunch by the beautiful pool. I had butternut squash soup and a salad full of quinoa, greens, tomatoes and seeds. If only I could have brought the chef home with me! After lunch, I then went and had the most relaxing 55-minute Sodashi Refining Body Toner Treatment which I can only describe as absolute heaven. It’s a treatment which exfoliates and tones your whole body and also involves an amazing head massage. I actually fell asleep at one stage it was so good! Whenever I treat myself to a spa treatment, I usually go for a massage, but this will undoubtedly be my go-to treatment from here on. The whole package is fantastic and it really is great value at €180 as it also includes full access to all of the spa facilities (sauna, pool, etc.). What I loved about it was that I left feeling completely and utterly refreshed, ready for the week ahead again. Spa treatments usually leave me feeling quite tired as they are so relaxing but the great thing about this one is that as well as feeling relaxed and pampered, you also feel full of life after the workout and healthy treats. I’m counting the minutes until I can go back!
The whole hotel was just absolutely beautiful -the rooms, the decor, the service, the food…..everything! I’m so grateful for such a wonderful opportunity and feel so refreshed and inspired after this trip. I work extremely hard on this little blog of mine and it’s amazing to see that it’s the reason that opportunities like this come my way. As I mentioned, the whole reason I made the visit to the hotel was for a photo shoot which I myself styled and modelled for. I just saw the first batch of edited photos this evening and am absolutely over the moon. My extremely talented friend Julia did all the photography and the shots turned out better than I ever could have hoped for. The top-right photo above is a little sneak peek :)
Hope you all had a great weekend too!
Stylishly yours,
