It’s that time of year again… Halloween is officially around the corner which I must say is very hard for me to believe. It’s definitely never been my favourite holiday but since moving to New York it’s grown on me a little more each year. They really go all out here so it’s hard to ignore it like I used to do at home. Each year now we try our best to dress up and actually have so much fun doing it. I usually stick to simple costumes but it’s still a novelty stepping out of my comfort zone, even if just a little bit. I always leave my costume until the last minute like so many I’m sure. However, this year I thought I’d get a tiny head start and and start searching for some ideas. While doing so I came across some clothes/accessories that would make very quick and easy costumes. So, I thought I would share them. I’m sure some of you reading like to keep it kind of simple too so you might like some of the pieces below…
This cape & these face jewels would be perfect for a superwoman costume. You could maybe pair them with a dress you already have. I also think this top and these jewels would be great if you wanted to go as a fortune teller. Both are really affordable too. Another affordable option that would make Halloween very easy for you is this ‘Wednesday Adams’ dress – all you would need to do is plait your hair. Or if you really don’t feel like dressing up but don’t want to be the odd one out, these clips are the perfect subtle halloween accessory. To top it off you could also smear some fake blood on your face – easy and effective!
I really hope this helped you if you find Halloween costume’s a little overwhelming. It’s good to remember to just have fun with them – that’s what the holiday is all about :)
