4 Smoothie Recipes I Tried This Week

Happy Friday guys – we made it! I’m extra happy to see the weekend this week. One of the reasons being that Kaelin & David moved closer to us during the week so I’m excited to explore the neighborhood with over the weekend. We’re also heading to IKEA as we’re both in the process of decorating now. You all know how excited I get about interiors so I’m so ready to get stuck in and help Kaelin too. But before we clock off for the week I wanted to share one more post with you.

If you’ve been following over on IG stories you will know that I’ve been trying really hard to eat clean over the last few weeks. I recently bought a book called Body Love by Kelly Leveque and it’s honestly changed my whole outlook on food. I was feeling really low in energy and I just felt like it time to put more thought into my diet. And it’s safe to say that this book has caused me to do just that. Once I started reading I just couldn’t put it down and I’ve learned so so much. Kelly’s whole message in the book is around including the fab four in each of your meals. The fab four being fibre, protein, fat & carbohydrates. In the book she includes recipes around the fab four which I’ve really enjoyed trying out. In particular, the smoothies. So for today’s blog post I thought I would share 5 different ones I’ve tried this week!

1)CUCUMBER KALE APPLE AVOCADO

Ingredients:
– 1 serving vanilla protein powder
– 1 tablespoon MCT oil
– 1/2 Avocado
– 1/2 Cup Cucumber
– 1/4 Apple
– Handful of kale

2) BERRY GREEN

Ingredients:
– 1 serving vanilla protein powder
– 1  to 2 tablespoons MCT oil
– 1 to 2 tablespoons chia seeds or flaxseeds
– 1/4 cup frozen or fresh mixed berries
– Spinach
– Kale
– Parsley

3) SPA DAY

Ingredients:
– 1 serving vanilla protein powder
– 1/4 to 1/2 cup diced avocado
– 1 to 2 tablespoons chia seeds
– Juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon
– Fresh mint leaves
– Spinach
– 1 small persian cucumber
2 cups unsweetened nut milk

4) ACAI GREEN

Ingredients:
– 1 serving vanilla protein powder
– 1 to 2 tablespoons organic almond butter
– 1 to 2 tablespoons chia or flaxeeds
– Organic acai (a freeze-dried serving of 20 calories)
– 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
– Handful of spinach
