Retro’s Autumn Edit: Dresses! Graduation, Night Out & Party

Hey everyone, I hope that your week is going well! It’s been a busier one than usual for me with various events & deadlines but overall a very fun one. We went to Justin Timberlake on Monday night with Urban Decay and I was on a night out with Revolve last night, two school nights in a row, I know haha! However, with everything happening it did get me thinking about all of the outings coming up over the next couple of months. And with outings comes outfit planning! So, today I wanted to share some graduation/night out/party dresses with you. That way you can start getting organized. Every year I say I will start buying my Christmas outfits in October and I think this could actually be the year it happens haha! Well, here’s hoping anyway. Let’s see what I found, shall we?

THE LBD

First things first, the little black dress. Every girl needs one or two of these in her wardrobe for the busy season coming up. Whether you wear them with bare leg & heels or tights & flats – you will always get plenty of wear out of a black dress. I love the shoulder detail on this one and this style of dress is so chic! This style from Shopbop is also very cute!

SOMETHING SHINY

We’re all magpies at heart so I had to include some embellished/sequins dresses. This one reminds me so much of the one I recently wore to the Rose Of Tralee fashion show. I also love this off the shoulder number from ASOS.

LADY IN RED

Personally I don’t wear red a lot as I don’t love the way it looks with my hair. However, it is a super popular color this time of year so I wanted to share some options. Kaelin currently has this one in her basket and I personally love the sleeve detail on this option. I love how sleek this option from Shopbop is too.

THE BLAZER DRESS

You all know I have a soft spot for a blazer dress. I love the effortless look they give and they are usually a very comfortable thing to wear too especially if you are going for a meal. I love the color of this one – it would be so striking with gold accessories. I also love the skirt detail on this black version. This lace option from Shopbop is so beautiful too!

BLUE & BOLD

One of my all time favorite colors to wear is blue so when I spotted a few beautiful options online, I thought why not dedicate a section to the color. This off the shoulder dress instantly caught my eye when I was scrolling through some options. I also really like the fringe detail on this version.

THE VELVET DRESS

It certainly is that time of year again because I am seeing velvet everywhere. I’m more than happy about that because I am a huge fan always. I especially love this color velvet – I could definitely see myself in that dress. I also love this black option.

ALL WHITE

I really love an all white look – there is something so striking and beautiful about one. It’s definitely not a color that should be left behind in Summer too, IMO. I love the simplicity of this dress. I also think this style from River Island would be super flattering on!

THE MIDI

Personally I sometimes prefer wearing midi dresses instead of shorter ones just because they feel a little more mature. These options would be really perfect for a graduation or wedding.  I really like the detail on this pale blue one. This beige style also caught my eye – it would be beautiful with the right accessories. This strapless option from Shopbop is so striking also.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I’m getting so excited for the all the opportunities to get dressed up over the coming months – it’s definitely the best time of year!

Chat soon,

x Erika
