Hi everyone, welcome back!
As you might know, this week, I flew back to Ireland to host a SUPER exciting in-store event with Marks & Spencer. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip as I was only in Ireland for a little over 24 hours (especially for this event)… but I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed it!! I’m just about to head to the airport to fly back to New York again but before I go, I couldn’t wait to share this post. First up, here’s a quick look at some photos from last night’s event. 100% one of my favorite events I’ve done in a while and thank you so much if you came along!
Marks & Spencer is a brand I’ve grown to love more & more over the past few years – so when this collaboration opportunity popped up in my inbox, I jumped at the opportunity! I love their big store on Grafton Street and we now even have one in Killarney in Kerry (where I’m from)… so every time I’m home, I always pop in for a look. There are lots of things to love about Marks & Spencer but the one thing I’ve aways loved most is it’s consistency in quality. It will NEVER let you down. It’s basics, it’s coats, it’s shoes , it’s cashmere – high quality pieces, always, for just the right price.
Before I flew home for the event, I was able to choose some pieces from their site and create some full looks to show you. I actually also filmed a video where I show you everything in more detail and share with you the Top 6 Autumn Wardrobe Essentials (in my opinion). But before I share that with you, here are some outfit photos I shot.
First up, is a look that I’m going to be recreating over & over again these next few months – Black Jeans, Cashmere Knit, Trench coat….& Cute Shoes. Simple but always so so effective. If you’re a long time follower, you’ll know that I love a good pair of black jeans and trust me on this one, this pair is no exception. I’ll definitely be styling these with a white tee and a blazer also, but for this look – I went with this BEAUTIFUL baby blue cashmere knit (Similar HERE). I wish you could feel it. This style jumper comes in a few different colors and if like me, you’ve been promising yourself you are going to start investing in good quality knitwear (that you will have for YEARS), start right here. It is worth every single penny when you feel the difference. I also now have my eye on this blush shade too. Nice, right?
Then for the finishing two pieces of the look – both Autumn must haves – the classic trench and the pointed sling backs. Would you believe this is my first proper trench coat? (Similar HERE) I’ve wanted one for so so long and I’ve finally found it. And then how nice are these shoes!? I’ve been living in these style kitten heels all Summer and I can’t wait for these to be my Autumn version. I have a feeling these are going to go fast – so be quick if you love them as much as me!
For look no.2…it had to be this suit. Wow! I can’t tell you how amazing this is in person. The fit, the velvet detail, the lining – this is how you do a suit. And the best thing? After you’ve worn it as a suit, the individual styling opportunities for both the blazer & pants are endless. Seeing as I knew the suit would do all the talking for this look, I kept the other pieces quite simple.
Pointed off-white shoes (these are amazzzzing!) and probably the best white t-shirt (SimilarHERE) I’ve ever worn. Yes, ever. For months, my Mom has been telling me to pick up some of these Marks & Spencer white t-shirts – she swears by them – and wow, was she right. If there’s just one thing from this post that you look into – go check out this white t-shirt. And I know, I know – “Erika, it’s a white t-shirt, calm down” – but just trust me on this one. As soon as you try it on, you’ll thank me forever. I brought 5 more back to New York with me, lol!
Quality always always wins and Marks & Spencer, you sure know how to do it.
The biggest thank you to the brand for having me involved in this collaboration – I truly think it was an amazing fit and I hope you guys have enjoyed seeing the pieces I chose.
If you have any questions, just let me know and I’ll see you in the next post and in the meantime, go watch the video HERE.
*Big thank you to Marks & Spencer for partnering on this post.
