8 Things You Need in Your Wardrobe For 2018

2018 Fashion TrendsHey guys, welcome to our first shopping post of the year!! We are back in New York and I’m so excited to be back at my desk doing these posts for you guys! Today, I decided to kick it off with a post covering 8 things you need in your wardrobe for 2018. Each new year comes with new trends and popular styles so I wanted to keep you all in the loop. I’ve done some research and the 8 styles below are set to be very in this year. So, to help you include them in your 2018 wardrobe I’ve linked some examples from my favourite websites below. As always, I hope you spot some pieces you like and enjoy the read…

Polka dots were huge this last September at the various Fashion Weeks so it’s no surprise that they have shown up in the top trends for this year. I personally love the print and think it’s a very fun one to style. However, if you would rather just add it into your wardrobe in a subtle way, this bag would be the perfect way to do that. I have my eye on this gorgeous top from River Island. I think it would be so chic with some denim in the Spring!

The buckle is back! Each year boots with buckles are quite popular but this year more than ever. I’ve seen so many of my favourite bloggers wearing them and I’m definitely ready to jump on the trend. I think they look so cool and for the current weather we are experiencing in New York they are very practical. I love this pair from ASOS!

Last year, red was the colour and this year it’s looking like purple tones are going to be huge! They were all over the catwalks and I’m betting they will be all over the shops for spring. I personally love the colour so I’m delighted. Here are some fab pieces I came across, this coat in particular is stunning!!

Floral for spring, groundbreaking I know but in all seriousness, floral is predicted to be very popular this year. I’m not going to lie, it’s a print I tire of very easily but I do love how girly & feminine it is in the Spring & Summer. These shorts would be very cute for a holiday and I love the style of this dress!

Seeing that Fringe is making a comeback is definitely making me want to book a few festivals for this year. I’ve always loved it so I’m excited to invest in a few new pieces for my 2018 wardrobe. I need this t-shirt and I think I would get so much wear out of this jumper too!

We definitely got a sneak peek of this trend last year and if you have been following me closely, you will know that I LOVE it! I invested in a few too many pieces but I definitely have room for more. Like this blazer from River Island & these pants from Topshop!

Remember those dark denim jeans & jackets we all wore when we were about 11? Well, they are very fashionable again according to the trends this year! Dark denim is making its comeback and I’m excited. I love wearing denim but rarely wear dark denim so it will be nice to change things up. This dress is on my wishlist already!

Don’t throw out your Christmas sequins just yet because you may need them again this year! 2018 is the year of making sequins wearable no matter what the occasion and I’m sure all the magpies out there will be delighted to hear that! Lately I am loving sequin midi skirts like this one and I think this top is so fab too!

I hope you found this post helpful guys and I would love to hear your thoughts on the different trends! Comment your favourite below? Also feel free to let me know what kind of shopping posts you would like to see this year? I am going to try and make them bigger and better so all recommendations are welcome!
