Hey guys, Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week. Today I am back with another fashion/shopping post which are always one of my favourite’s to put together for you. I don’t know about you but I am definitely ready to start talking about Autumn fashion (my favourite!!) Summer clothes are slowly fading away in stores and Autumn/Winter stock is beginning to trickle in so I thought it could be good to go through the pieces I am always first to invest in. These are definitely the 5 keys pieces that I find myself wearing when transitioning from season to season. Below I have gone through each piece and linked a number of them in various price ranges. I find I am now at the stage where I like to invest in quality pieces when it comes to these items as I try to keep them from year to year. It’s only something I’ve began to do in the last two years or so but I honestly haven’t looked back. However, if you are on a budget the more affordable pieces I have linked are perfect too & very on trend. I really hope you find this post helpful…
1. Black Boots
This may be a no brainer but I feel that I couldn’t not mention them. If you know me well, you know I love a good pair of boots and they are always one of the things I am most excited to re-invest in, once Autumn comes around. The best thing about getting them now too is that until it gets cold you can pair them with dresses for a more casual day time look – win/win! For more of an invest option, I love my Chloe’s so much but this pair from Asos is also on my wishlist!
Could this category be all of our favourites down to the sheer coziness? I think so! I know we all love our summery off the shoulder tops but you can’t beat a big cable knit or turtle neck, can you? They are definitely another key item when it comes to transition pieces. For more of an investment option here, I am obsessed with this Acne cable knit but this ASOS one gives it a run for it’s money!
3. Black Jeans
Another important transition staple – black jeans of course! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wear black jeans at least 5 out of 7 days each week during Autumn/Winter. They are my most worn item in my wardrobe, that’s for sure. That’s why it is SO important to invest in a good pair that will last you and not fade after 2.5 washes. I absolutely love my Rag & Bone ones that I invested in last year but I also swear by the Topshop Jamie Jeans.
4. Duster / Trench Coats
I invested in my very first trench coat last year and I honestly haven’t looked back since. Such a handy piece for between seasons & I just think it makes any outfit look so classic & timeless! As for Duster coats, I wear them all the time and I love how chic & effortless they make an outfit look. I am obsessed with this new one I just got from Lavish Alice. I also seriously have my eye on this gorgeous trench from River Island.
5. White Shirt
..And last but not least my very favourite transition (& versatile) piece. So simple yet so effective. I have about 10 because I wear a white shirt so often. Either inside a blazer or under a jumper, you can really fit it into any outfit you feel like wearing. And that’s why I love them. You can be sure too that if you invest in a good one it’s not going to go out of fashion ever! If you don’t have one in your wardrobe already, buy one – you’ll thank me later! If you are looking to invest in a really good white shirt this one from Sandro looks amazing but I actually have this more affordable option from River Island & I love it too.
I really hope you enjoyed this post because I absolutely love putting these together for you! I’m so excited to start investing in some new bits for Autumn so I hope this helps you start too.
