Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a great week! If you have been following along on my Instagram (@Retroflame), you will know that over the weekend I made the trip to Palm Springs to attend Coachella for the second time. I enjoyed it so much last year I couldn’t help myself but rebook again this time round! It really is the funnest and coolest festival around and I can 100% see myself going again! I just uploaded my VLOG from the weekend so you can see exactly what it is really like though that video but first up I wanted o go through my outfits from the weekend. I got lots of lovely snaps & messages so I thought it would be best to put all the details into one big blog post for you here. As you may know my day to day style is quite minimalistic so I always love planning festival outfits because it takes me a little out of my comfort zone. It allows you to have a bit more fun with accessories especially which I love. This year I definitely wanted to change up my looks a bit and do something different so I really hope you liked the way each look turned out – see all the details below…

I think my outift from Day 1 was by far my favourite from the whole weekend! it was definitely hugely out of my comfort zone and I’m not going to lie, it was little bit risky for me but I am so glad I did’t chicken out of wearing it in the end! I actually went in to LF stores two days before we left and completely panic bought the whole outift after one of the lovely girls inside there helped me to put it together. I had never done a denim on denim look before but there was something about that I just loved and in the end it was the exact festival look I wanted to go for! Kaelin & I actually ended up kind of unintentionally matching (That’s what happens when you live & work together I guess ha!) and we loved it so we continued to do for the rest of the weekend as you will see below…

I had actually planned a completely different outfit for day 2 but unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time so this was actually a little bit of a last minute thrown together look. Thankfully it worked out well. I absolutely love the suede and fringe for festival so this waistcoat was the dream. Kaelin actually picked it up in a vintage store here in New York for such a bargain (Vintage is the best for festivals). With the right accessories and my favourite hat from LF Stores I was very happy with how the look came together. It also totally fit in with Kaelin’s look that day which continued on the matching streak (you would swear our mom was dressing us ha!)
…And last but certainly not least – this was another one of my absolute favourite pieces I found online when searching for ideas, this Alice McCall dress! I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, Australians do it better!! This was so perfect for the look I wanted to create for Day 3. I felt by pairing it with an oversized chunky necklace and starry belt it really made the look festival ready! I think it could be so perfect for a summer wedding too and best of all it was super comfortable to wear!
So there you have it guys – the complete low down on all of my looks from Coachella this year! I really hope you enjoyed following along on my Instagram (@Retroflame) & Snapchat (@Retroflame1) over the weekend and thank you so much if you sent me a nice message! I had so much fun putting these outfits together and styling the different looks so I’m really glad you liked them too! As always Coachella was so much fun and definitely something I could see myself attending year after year! I would 100% recommend it and if it is something you are interested in attending I did a full blog post last year with all the details you need to know about organizing the trip! Thanks so much for reading – my VLOG from the trip is also now live so be sure to check that out to see more from the weekend!
Have a great day,
