Happy Friday everyone! It’s safe to say I had taken a little break from interiors over the past month or so (I think it was kind of needed, haha!) but I am definitely back in the swing of things again. Although I know that I will always always continue to change things and add new bits, I am 90% finished my new apartment which I never thought I would say. I still have to add some pieces to the living room and office but my bedroom is the room that needs the most work! I have all the main pieces like the bed, wardrobe etc. but I have definitely not made it my own as of yet and put my own touch on it. I think I just put it on the back burner all along but I’m ready to put my heart into it now. So, this all week I have been online getting some inspiration as I plan to do a bit of interior shopping over the weekend. I thought it would be good to share what I have found so far because us girls tend to change up our bedrooms more than we like to admit it and a little inspiration always helps…
As you can probably already tell from the inspiration pictures, I want to keep the room very simple and minimalistic. I’m obsessed with the idea of an all white bedroom because I just feel it instills calmness and I think for me especially, I really need that when I go to bed at night as I find it quite hard to relax. I know a white bed is never the smartest option as it gets dirty so easily but I just can’t help myself, I have already purchased a white duvet cover but I have my eye on this cute one from H&M and its so affordable so if something does happen to it, its not the end of the world.
I plan to add in colour with plants (fake of course), If you follow me on Snapchat (@retroflame1), you will know Kaelin & I have killed every real plant we have bought so far haha! The wardrobe I have already purchased for the room is mirrored so I would love to add a mirrored dresser as well and I plan to also add in gold accents throughout the room. I have always liked to keep my room quite minimalistic and add in my personality through the small details.
Below are some things I have already purchased and also have my eye on. I hope to post my living room tour next and my bedroom tour will be right after that. In the meantime feel free to catch up on my Kitchen Tour and my Bathroom Tour.
I really hope you enjoyed this post and it maybe gave you some ideas for your own bedroom. Let me know in the comments below what you think or if you have any other ideas you think I might like.
As always, I hope you have a lovely weekend and I will be back with a new post on Monday!
