Hey guys! It’s that time of the week again, time for my Flame Favourites post. This week, I thought I would switch it up a little and just talk about my all-time favourite beauty products. The holy grail products I could just never live without! If you follow me on Snapchat (retroflame1), you’ll know that Kaelin & I chat through different beauty products each week as part of our #FlameFavourites series, but I wanted to do a blog post where I specifically chat about my very very favourite products. I’m definitely a creature of habit and so when I find a product I love, it gets a permanent space in my makeup bag. You all seem to be loving the Snapchat recommendations so far, so I hope you’ll love this too!
1. NARS All Day Luminious Weightless Foundation
First up is is my No.1 foundation and maybe even my No.1 product overall – The NARS All-Day Luminious Weightless Foundation. This is definitely my go-to foundation since I discovered it back in April when I was getting my makeup done for an event. The makeup artist used this on me and I have literally not looked back since! I have a combination skin type and I find this works so so well for me. I think the reason I like it so much is because a little goes such a long way while still giving absolutely amazing coverage. It also feels very light to wear and it really does last all day! I wear it in ‘Light 2’ for day and ‘Light 5’ when I have tan on. You can check it out HERE.
2. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
This concealer is hands down the best concealer I have ever tried and I know thats a bold statement but it really is! I used to live for the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer until I was introduced to this MAC one by Kaelin. It sits so nicely under the eye area, the coverage is everything you could ask for and although it is a matte finish, I have never found it drying. I wear shade ‘NW15’ and you can see it HERE.
3. L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Noir Washable Mascara
You may have heard me talk about this mascara on my Snapchat over the past few weeks and I am still truly obsessed. It is one of the best mascaras I have ever tried and it’s so affordable too. I find that it creates both volume and length without being too clumpy and in my eyes, this is exactly what you need in a mascara. See it HERE.
4. MAC Veluxe Brow Liner
If you are a fellow redhead, you will know that it can be quite hard to get a brow product that suits. I always struggled to find one until I came across this brow pencil by MAC in the shade, ‘Redhead’. The colour & formula are perfect, it’s really easy to apply and it also comes with a spooly on the end which is ideal. You can buy it HERE.
5. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in ‘Iconic Nude’
I love this lip liner! If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I pretty much only wear nude lipsticks and this lip liner goes so well with all of them. It is a really lovely tone and lasts very well on the lips. I would 100% recommend to check it out HERE.
6. ZOEVA Nude Spectrum Palette
I always keep it quite simple when it comes to my eye makeup – I basically only ever just use shimmery golds and browns. I think that is why I love this particular palette so much. It has the perfect selection of those tones and they are so well pigmented. I truly love Zoeva as a brand, I use a range of their products and I have never been disappointed. You can see the palette HERE.
7. MAC ‘Honey Love’ Lipstick
As I mentioned earlier, I’m a big fan of nude lips and this lipstick is usually always the first one I reach for. I really think that you just can’t beat MAC when it comes to lipsticks and this colour is so lovely to wear. It has a matte finish so it is also very long-lasting which I love. Get it HERE.
8. Becca ‘Champagne Pop’ Highlighter
In the past year, I’ve really fallen in love with highlighters (I guess who hasn’t?) and this is one of my favourites I’ve used to-date. It has a blush tone with a hint of gold so its perfect to wear on nights out. A handy trick as well that Kaelin taught me is to wet my brush first before applying it. It gives a slightly more intense look! I use the MAC Fix Plus Spray and you can see the highlighter HERE.
9. Elizabeth Arden ‘8 Hour Cream’
I think this one is probably on a lot of people’s ‘Holy Grail’ product lists and it’s obvious to see why. You can use this cream on both your skin and lips as it’s the perfect hydration for both. I swear by it for my lips all year round & especially during the Winter. I seem to always suffer from chapped lips and this helps so much. If you don’t have it already, put it on your christmas list! You can buy it HERE
10. IMAGE Prevention+ Daily Matte Moisturiser Oil Free SPF 32
Earlier this year when I was having some problems with my skin, I began using IMAGE Skincare products. One of them was this moisturiser and it has definitely been one that I will not stop using. It is so lightweight but still feels like it is hydrating my skin. It’s the perfect moisturiser for before foundation and it also has SPF which as we all know it the most important part of all. It’s a little on the pricier side, but honestly, it’s worth every penny. See it HERE.
…and there you have it, a full list of my holy grail beauty products. I love trying new products, but I always always come back to these ones. When I find something good, it sticks with me for a long time! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe even got a few Christmas present/wishlist ideas :)
Have a great weekend!
