Black Friday – Where To Shop & What To Buy

Jo Malone London - The Shop at Columbus Circle

It’s that time of the year again guys…BLACK FRIDAY is almost here!! I know sales aren’t for everybody but personally, I absolutely love them. The thrill of finding a good bargain just never gets old to me! So as I began searching for and planning what I would like to buy myself this year, I figured I would put together a little Black Friday guide for you too. I did a similar post to this last year and a lot of you found it helpful so I hope you like it again this time around. Sales can be a little overwhelming, so I’ve listed some of the stores which are doing the best sales this year and some items which I think you should look out for….

High street clothes & accessories:

As you might know, I have been such a big fan of CLUSE watches for a while now and this year I became a brand ambassador so I have been lucky enough to add even more of their watches to my collection. So far, I have the La Vedette Mesh Rose Gold/White, the La Boheme Mesh Gold/White, the La Boheme Gold Black/Gold Metallic, the Minuit Silver/Blue Velvet and I currently have my eye on the gorgeous La Roche Rose Gold White Marble/Grey … I don’t think I have ever seen a more perfect watch for me. haha! Just incase you have your eye on any of them too, this Friday, they are offering 15% off EVERYTHING on their website so it’s definitely the perfect time to make that investment. They also make the perfect gifts, so if you know of anyone who would love one, Friday is the day to get your Christmas gifts in order. You can see their full collection HERE.

ASOS is always one of my go-to online stores so it’s one of the first I look to coming up to the Black Friday sales. There is currently 50% off all winter clothes and you will be able to get 30% off everything tomorrow & Friday using the code THANKFUL30. Below are a few bits I have my eye on.

MISSGUIDED have been spoiling us with sales all week so no doubt they have something big in store for Friday. Right now in the UK & Ireland, they are offering 20% off all partywear. If you are looking to invest in some pieces for christmas this would be the perfect opportunity. Below are some of my favourite dresses…

I always love the River Island Black Friday Sale for investing in staple pieces. I usually look out for shoes & coats, especially. Below are some ideas…

I truly do love Topshop – they were probably one of the very first high street stores  I was obsessed with. Lately though, with so many other online shops popping up with very similar pieces, I sometimes find it hard to justify Topshop purchases so when Black Friday comes around, I take full advantage! Here are a few of the pieces I have been eyeing up…

Forever 21 is another great one! Things are already so affordable so you get such a steal when the sale comes around. Last year I picked up so many bargains for the festive season and I am hoping to do the same again this year! I have my eye on this baby blue jumpsuit, this stunning mesh dress and these lace up heels (in both nude and black).

Another online store that is definitely worth a look at is Chicwish. They have some really unusual pieces and are everything is 25% off this Friday. I spotted this gorgeous jumper and this cute sweater dress!

Boohoo is always another one of my favourite sites to stock up on some Christmas party pieces. No better time like the present to start planing those outfits! Definitely take this opportunity to get started, it will save you money down the line and will also ensure you avoid that last minute panic shopping. I spotted this stunning black jumpsuit and this cute off the shoulder dress.

Louise et Cie

High End/Investment Pieces:

If ever there was a day to justify a splurge, it’s Black Friday. Here are some designer favourites which are a little less expensive than usual…

Reiss has always been a favourite of mine and I’ve never regretted a single purchase. It’s definitely a little more on the pricy side, so I’ll be taking advantage of the added discounts this weekend. Below are some favourites…

You all know I’m a huge Louise et Cie fan! The quality and styles of her products are just to die for and I definitely recommend using Friday to make a purchase. Below are some of my favoirites. (FYI: Just incase you’re not in the US, she also sells her collection here on Nordstrom which ships internationally).

As you may know from my Kitchen Tour, I got both my coffee cart and kitchen island from Joss & Main so I am a big fan. This weekend they are offering up to 70% off AND free shipping on all orders over $49. Such a good opportunity to invest in something for your home.

I found overstock brilliant when I moved into my new apartment! It’s great for decorative pieces like rugs (my black and white stripe one) and lamps and this weekend they are offering 70% off selected items. I still need to get a few more things for my apartment so I will be 100% making use of their sale.

West Elm (one of my all-time favourite homeware stores) will be offering up to 60% off their entire site. I got my blush pink chair from this brand – also comes in more colours.

Sephora rarely disappoints on Black Friday and I’m sure this year won’t be any different. They will be offering up to 50% off many of their makeup sets (so perfect for gifts) along with so many other great offers.

Nordstrom is always great on Black Friday especially because it sells everything from beauty to clothes to accessories which is so great if you just want to get everything together. I always love being able to get everything I need in the one place. Nordstrom are set to have discounts on brands such as MAC (I’ll be stocking up on my favourite concealer) and Charlotte Tilbury all weekend so make sure to keep an eye out!

How to make every day a great day - Daily RitualsMy Tops Tips

1.Download APPS:

Be sure to download the stores’ app on your smartphone. That way you can have all your details already saved and you won’t have to keep filling them in. This will speed up the process and make life a lot easier!

2. Be Organised:

Make a list of what you would like to get and how much you are realistically able to spend. It’s easy to get distracted in a sale and buy things you don’t need so this will hopefully stop you from impulse buying and living on beans & toast for the rest of the month, haha! By making a list it will also allow you to compare between different websites to ensure you are getting the best bargain out there.

3. Think Ahead:

You may only be thinking about getting christmas outfits and presents however, it’s important not to forget about big/investment pieces too. You may not need it straight away but if you are planning to invest in something for your house, for example, now is the time. It’s such a great opportunity to save –  it would be a pity to miss out!

And there you have it, my guide to the Black Friday Sales. I really hope it was helpful and you’ve spotted a few pieces to add to your list.

Happy Shopping everyone!
