Marks & Spencer Coat, Black Jeans, White Shirt, Shoes // Chanel Bag // Celine Sunglasses

Last week, I showed you a sneak peek of this full Marks & Spencer look over on my Snapchat (retroflame1) and you had so many questions! Marks and Spencer has always been a brand that I have looked to for high-quality and investment pieces, so I was delighted to work together to style a full look here on Retro Flame. Since coming home to Ireland last week, it’s been such a treat to be back in Autumn outfits and I finally had a chance to wear this look for my trip to Dublin yesterday. You can see from the photos that it was a little windy to say the least, so I was very glad to be wrapped up. This burgundy coat is such a stunning piece! I really don’t think there’s an easier & more put-together look than a good pair of black jeans/pants paired with a crisp white shirt. Every Autumn, I always invest into a new version of each and I absolutely love both of these. Also, how cool are these shoes? I live in black boots during Autumn/Winter and I love that these will kind of switch up the usual look I go for. That pointed toe is a winner! I know I’m like a broken record, but you’ll honestly never go wrong when investing into quality, staple pieces like these 4 – Coat, Black Jeans, White Shirt & Shoes. Be sure to let me know if you end up getting your hand on any of them too :)

I got back to New York on Saturday after the nicest two weeks at home. It was quite a last-minute trip but I loved every second as usual. It’s always such a treat to be back to the peace and quiet and there honestly is nowhere like Kerry that makes me calm down as much, haha! I felt so refreshed coming back to NYC. I spent as much time as possible at home in Kerry but also squeezed in a flying visit to London and also hosted two events – one in Cork and one in Arnotts. A big thank you again to everyone who came along to these, they were so much fun! I’m already looking forward to heading back again for Christmas. Can you believe it’s just 10 weeks away!? As I mentioned, I arrived back to New York on Saturday and you’ll have seen on Instagram (@retroflame) and Snapchat (@retroflame1) that I officially moved into my new apartment! I showed you a sneak peek on my Snapchat and I have a ‘before’ video to go live on my Youtube Channel this week, so keep an eye out. I can’t even tell you how happy I am to finally have a new place. It’s going to be a busy month re-decorating spent redecorating, but I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.

I’m back to work here today and woke up to news I’m STILL smiling about. I wasn’t so smily when my Mom was ringing me at 4am (9am Irish time) haha, but all was forgiven when I heard what she had to say. Remember when I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was going to be hiring somebody to work full-time with me here in NYC…well I found her! Kaelin (my sister) got confirmation this morning that her working visa had just been approved!!! She was granted a 3-year visa to move over and work with Retro Flame here in the US. I still can’t believe it! It was a crazy long application process and nothing was ever guaranteed, so we are so so relived it has all worked out. I have been dying to tell you!! She had her Embassy meeting in Dublin on Friday and then we had to wait the whole weekend to hear the result, so we are just over the moon it was positive. Since moving to New York, I’ve learned more about the visa struggle than anything else and we both couldn’t be more appreciative to have the opportunity to work and live here in NYC. I’m so excited just thinking about all the plans we have for the next few weeks/months…and personally, I can’t even tell you how happy I am to finally be expanding the Retro Flame team and to now have some full-time help. I don’t think I could have found someone better if I tried as she is the biggest perfectionist you will EVER meet and of course, has been there from the very beginning of Retro Flame. You also might have guessed by now who my new mystery housemate is, haha! Lots of you had been guessing! She gets here this Friday….so the excitement is about to begin very soon. It’s one of those times where a million changes are happening at once but let me tell you, the relief that it’s all finally coming together is real!! Things really do have a way of always working out and I can’t wait to to share this next chapter of Retro Flame with you all.

Hope you’ve all had a great start to the week,
Erika x

*Huge thank you to Marks & Spencer and Shopping Links for partnering on this post.
