Hello everyone and happy Friday!! I’m so excited to be back in New York but definitely still not over the sadness of Coachella being over. Honestly, I just can’t stop thinking about it. I really didn’t know what to expect as it was my first time going, but it surpassed every single expectation. If you even have the slightest urge to go next year – DO IT!! Today, I’m sharing my outfit details from the weekend and My Coachella VLOG – Part 1 (Yay!) and then next week, I’m going to do a big post with everything you need to know about going to Coachella. How to get tickets, accommodation, best tips, etc. So stay tuned for that :) But now, onto the Coachella outfits….. the very best part! I bought my tickets way back in January so I had lots of time to plan my three outfits and I have to admit, I was in my element putting everything together. My usual style is very minimalistic, but when it comes to festival fashion – the more OTT, the better! I wanted to go for three very different looks and I can honestly say that I loved how they all turned out. It was so fun getting ready every morning. It was a mix of fringe, all-white and of course, some high-waisted denims….+ a million and one accessories. Here are all the details…
Nasty Gal Blue Suede Fringe Dress // Steve Madden Boots // LF Stores Wide Brim Hat (Similar) // Aldo Sunglasses (Similar) // Retro Rose Blue Chocker // Kate Spade Bag
So you know when you spot something and it’s like someone knew EXACTLY what you were looking for? Well, that’s how I felt when I saw this baby blue suede fringe dress online. I really don’t know if it could be any more perfect for a festival. Baby blue is one of my very favorite colours to wear and put it on a perfectly fitted, suede dress and it was like all my christmases came together. Have you guessed by now how much I love this dress? Haha! I knew this had to be my outfit for the day 1 and because the dress itself is such a statement piece, I kept it simple with black accessories. I added the black boots, bag & hat which were my go-to’s all weekend, some chokers and gold sunnies. Also, can we talk about this blue choker which by coincidence matched perfectly! Miriam from Retro Rose came to meet me just before I left to give me some chokers (that she makes herself) to wear throughout the festival and this one was definitely my favorite!
LF Stores White Layered Playsuit (Similar styles Here, Here, Here, Here) // LF Stores Wide Brimmed Hat (Similar) // My Shining Armour Necklace // Steve Madden Boots // Kate Spade Bag
I mentioned on my Instagram (@retroflame) that as soon as I had bought my tickets, I knew I wanted one of my looks to be all-white. I searched high & low for a few weeks and eventually found this layered playsuit in LF Stores the DAY BEFORE I left. So lucky! I can’t actually find an exact link for this one, but I’ve linked some similar versions above. I love this style and it worked so well with my necklace from one of my favorites, My Shining Armour. Really cool also – this look was featured on ELLE UK & Fashionista.
Toyshop Black Bodysuit // Zara Denim Shorts (Similar) // Urban Outfitters Bandana Scarf // Aldo Sunglasses (Similar) // Double Buckle Belt // Steve Madden Boots // Aldo Sunglasses
Then finally, on Day 3, I wore some of my festival staples. I couldn’t leave Coachella without wearing a pair of denim shorts and this really cool bodysuit from Toyshop. I also finally got to wear my double buckle belt and black bandana. This look was so comfy and was perfect for the last day. I honestly just think the smile on my face in that last picture says it all :)
River Island Khaki Green Swimsuit + Rose Gold Sandals // Zara Denim Shorts (Similar) // Onia Palm Print Swimsuit // LF Stores Wide Brim Hat (Similar) // Shevoke Rose Gold Sunglasses
I also squeezed in some time at the pool and also at Venice Beach (more photos coming soon) and wore some new swimwear. I’m really into one-pieces at the moment (maybe because of all the pizza I ate, haha) so I wore this khaki suit from River Island and also this Onia Palm Tree style. I LOVE both! Oh and I lived in these rose gold sandals when I wasn’t at the festival.
So there you have it guys…a quick overview of My Coachella Outfits. Thank you so much for all the lovely messages – I’m so happy you enjoyed all my snaps. I was definitely VERY snap-happy on my snapchat (retroflame1) but I just couldn’t help myself. It was honestly one of the best weekends I’ve had with a great gang of friends and no joke, I’m already looking forward to next year. Next week, I’m going to do another post sharing more photos from the weekend (I have SO many) + a big overview of everything you need to know about going to Coachella. So stay tuned for that! And in the meantime, my Coachella (part 1) VLOG is now live too!!! I think I may have watched this a hundred times already and I still have the biggest smile on my face each time.
Here’s to making memories & getting through that bucket list!
