Blue Coat + Black Accessories

Blue Coat (Similar HERE, HERE, HERE) // Topshop Leather Pants // Zara Boots (Similar – these are amazing!!)
Givenchy Antigona Bag // Celine Sunglasses

I had yet another wardrobe clear out here in New York last weekend and when it came to this bright blue coat, I must admit I was VERY close to adding it to my Depop pile. The girls and I always joke that New York has literally turned us all anti-ANY kind of bright colour and 90% of the time, you’ll see me in nearly all black. But I just couldn’t let this one go. Yes, I love my blacks, greys & nudes, but every now and again – you just need a pop of colour! This one has been in my wardrobe for a few years now (& it looks like it’s here to stay for another while) but I found you guys a very similar one HERE.  Paired with my usual black accessories – Bag, Sunglasses & Boots – this look definitely brightened up my day!

“I think you should just go for it.”

I’ve had a few pretty big decisions to make so far in 2016 and I really think that the best advice I’ve gotten from friends & family is to “just go for it”! Whatever it may be, big or small, you just have to go and do it. I’ve talked here before about the importance of never having regrets. Sometimes you’re going to fail and sometimes you’ll make the wrong decisions about certain things, but at the end of the day these mistakes will be a million times easier to deal with than a life full of regret. I’m lucky enough to have a great group of friends & family who literally do nothing but encourage me when I plague them with a million & one questions & concerns – but I’m so grateful to have them to give me that push. So if any of you are facing some big decisions or just really want to make some changes, let me be the friend to remind you that you can 110% do it! If you don’t at least try, you’ll never know just how amazing things can be.

Hope you all have the best weekend!

Stylishly Yours,

Erika x

Love the pretty blue shade of the cozy looking coat! And agree with you that we should face challenges bravely or may live to regret it in future!

    Hi Erika!
Love how soft the color is in this jacket but also how it makes you stand out as well. You give such great advice! I was wondering if you ever thought of having an intern? I know that a lot of fashion students and hopeful bloggers would gain a ton of experience shadowing a successful blogger!

  4. That’s such a pretty colour, good thing you didn’t give up the coat! Great outfit x

  5. […] this is now one of my go-to kind of looks for both work and casual-wear. Very similar to friday’s look, just with a change of outerwear. If you haven’t yet invested in a pair of leather trousers, […]
