3 Workwear Ideas with Dorothy Perkins

3 Workwear Ideas with Dorothy Perkins

As you guys might know, I work full-time here in NYC as a Social Media Manager and so ever since I began last February (can’t believe I’m almost a year in!) I’ve gained a lot more interest in workwear. Seeing as I work in fashion, I definitely can be a little more creative when it comes to outfits, but I still love to always keep them as sleek, classic and professional as possible. No matter what industry you work in, I think it’s very important to always make an effort. You feel better when you do! So when Dorothy Perkins asked me to choose 1 workwear item that I could style 3 looks around – I was 100% up for the challenge and couldn’t wait to share these 3 workwear ideas with you too. You guys know how I feel about the importance of investing in key pieces, so I thought this would be a really fun (& hopefully useful) post. The item I chose is this pair of black tailored trousers which are undoubtedly a wardrobe staple.

Dorothy Perkins Tailored Trousers // Blazer (Similar) // Givenchy Bag // Heels (Similar)

My first look is the most dressy of the three and is so so easy to replicate. This is the kind of outfit which will never fail you. Tailored trousers, pointed heels, a fitted blazer & a statement bag. Effortless but always chic!

Dorothy Perkins Tailored Trousers + Stripe Shirt // Metallic Loafers // Givenchy Bag

Look two is a more laid-back style and perfect for the days where I know I’ll be running around the city. I love the slouchiness of the shirt paired with the more tailored bottom half and the pop of metallic gives it a little edge. This kind of look is also super comfortable.

And finally, look 3 is a mix of my favourite colours to wear on a daily basis – black, white & grey. I love the bow detail in this grey top and I can definitely see this look work perfectly with heels as well.

Let me know in the comments below or on snapchat (retroflame1) which look is your favourite? And if you fancy getting some new items yourself, be sure to check out the Dorothy Perkins Workwear selection.

Hope you’ve all been having a great week,

Stylishly Yours,
Erika x

Very nice! I don’t work outside the house, but I could definitely see these in my closet to dress up my mom wardrobe. I especially love the bow blouse. I always pass by Dorothy Perkins when I go to the mall, I think I’ll have to drop in next time!

Love these outfit ideas! Those gold loafers are so chic, but since they’re metallic they add some color to the look. All these looks are so professional and sophisticated, yet are not too serious or boring. Wonderful post :)
