I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – a perfect wardrobe consists of a mix of good-quality, staple pieces. It’s only in the last year that I’ve really realized this. I’ve made a decision to cut back on fast fashion, ‘trendy’ pieces and instead, begin to invest in pieces I know I’ll have forever. Often these items will be more expensive, but at the end of the day you ALWAYS get what you pay for. Quality over quantity is the best way to look at things. Of course, you’ll still see me wear vintage and some less expensive items, but when it comes to buying wardrobe staples, I’m really making an effort to invest a little more money into them. Two recent additions to my wardrobe are this white shirt (with detachable black bow) and this camel structured bag – both from Karen Millen and both now ON SALE! Karen Millen is a brand that I always associated with my Mom. I remember when I was younger, when we used to go shopping, she would without fail come home with something from Karen Millen. At the time, I didn’t really understand why she would pay so much money for such simple, staple pieces but now I 100% get it. To this day, she still has those pieces we bought together. I feel like it’s a brand which has come a long way over the past few years and one I’ve definitely added to my favourites list.

I definitely think I’m not alone when asking…Is it Christmas yet!? I go home to Ireland this Friday and I literally am counting down the days. Not because I’m dying to leave New York but I just really can’t wait for the break. I woke up this morning with a sore throat, no voice and a fever, so I think my body is telling me that it’s getting a little fed up. Without fail, I get sick around this time of year so I’m not shocked at all. All the tiredness has hit and so now more than ever, I’m so unbelievably looking forward to a relaxing few weeks at home. I’ve kept my schedule pretty open this week so I can fit in all my last minute jobs and I’m hoping to do a few more Christmassy things with the girls. As much as I can’t believe that Christmas is just around the corner, I also couldn’t be more excited!

Hope all your prep is going well!

Stylishly Yours,
Erika x
