Happy Monday everyone! Crazy how fast the weeks are flying by. Even though it’s November, it’s still pretty warm here in New York – something I’m definitely not complaining about. This time last year, it was SO much colder at this time of year so it’s nice that we’re getting a few extra weeks this time around. Seeing as the weather hasn’t hit freezing just yet, I took advantage of it this weekend and wore my new black & white loafers from Circus by Sam Edelman. There’s a lot of walking here in New York, so you really do have to have a good selection of comfortable (but stylish) flats and these ones are just ideal. Couldn’t believe it when I found them! I’m really into simple, tailored looks at the moment so I kept the styling of this look very minimalistic. Here are some similar trousers & a great alternative camel coat – which I now want too!

I think if you asked me what one of my biggest fears is, I would more than likely say regret. Every now and again it hits me that, as obvious as it may be, we all only have one life. I promise I’m not about to go on a crazy ‘YOLO’ rant, haha, but I think it’s really important to be reminded of this from time to time….especially on a Monday. I’ve mentioned before that I’m a big fan of entrepreneur, Gary Vaynerchuck and this post on this Instagram account really hit the nail on the head about making the most of the time you have. You just can’t settle. If you’re not happy with something or genuinely know you can do better, you have to make that change. I spent the majority of this weekend working (& starting a new fitness regime -more on this soon) and although I really missed my weekend off in New York, I know I won’t regret doing it. Sometimes, in order to get to where you want to be, some sacrifices have to be made, but it’s a million times worth it in order to avoid any type of regret. So if you’re feeling a little down or fed up this Monday morning, make a promise to yourself that you’ll make even the tiniest of changes this week. It really is a now or never type of situation.

Have a great one!

Stylishly Yours,
Erika x
