So my Halloween Costume prep has begun! This weekend, I popped into H&M here in New York and picked up a few pieces to get some ideas flowing. I’ll be totally honest and say that Halloween just isn’t 100% my thing (yes I know, I’m part of a minority) but I think the main reason for this is that I always leave my costume prep to the very last minute and then get way too stressed out! So this year, I’m planning ahead. I still don’t fully know what I’m going to do (I think it will be hard to beat last year’s) but at least I now have a few things to work with.
Personally, I hate forking out money on fancy costumes that you’ll literally just wear once, so I always try to mix more ‘normal’ pieces (that I might actually wear again) with some fun accessories. Add in a bit of make up/facepaint… & you’re sorted. All you Halloween-lovers are now totally thinking to yourself that I’m the laziest/most uncreative person ever but honestly, for me to even be thinking about halloween at this early stage is a HUGE improvement. Haha! I know that I can’t be the only one who has the same outlook so I’ve done a little research to find the best & most affordable pieces online.
The first step is finding the base of the costume and once this is done, the rest is easy! I’ve included lots of options below and my favourites are definitely the purple spooky eyes dress, the beaded skeleton bodysuit, the over my dead body t-shirt and this backless jumpsuit. If you click any of the photos below, you’ll be brought straight to the product.
Hope this post will help you get organized too or at least, give you some ideas :)
Have a great Wednesday!
