As you can imagine, 4th of July weekend is one of the most celebrated weekends here in the States, so the girls and I put a last minute plan together & spend the full weekend in Cape Cod. It had been on my list of places to visit for a while now so I was 100% up for spending the weekend there. My NYC gang (Lorna, Louise & Ciara) all came along and we met up with another big Irish group who are living in Boston. Honestly so much fun! Cape Cod is probably one of the most laid-back (& beautiful) places I’ve been so it was a nice change from the craziness of New York.
We left New York super early on the Friday morning and I know it might sound weird but it was actually so nice to be back in a car again. We drove from Connecticut which took about 4-5 hours due to traffic but we literally spent most of the trip laughing! Roadtrips are always so fun. Once we arrived, we went straight to a private beach near our hotel (you would have seen lots of snaps on my snapchat – retroflame1) and then after that, we went for dinner & drinks at Torinos which was definitely one of the busier spots in Hyannis.
Saturday was spent at the 4th of July parade and then that night we all came together on a really nice beach (which we more or less had to ourselves by the end) to watch the fireworks. 4th of July…very much Irish style :) It was my third 4th of July here in the US and it was definitely my favourite so far.
Boohoo Palm Print Shorts (More Palm Print Here, Here & Here)

I kept it pretty casual throughout the weekend and mixed & matched some new items with my classics. As always, I left my shopping pretty late but one item which arrived just in time were these palm print shorts. Obsessed! It seems that they are more or less sold out now but I found a similar version for you HERE. I also love this palm print dress. So happy we got to squeeze in a few more hours at the beach Sunday morning!
Throughout the weekend, I also wore a simple navy floral dress, denim shorts, off the shoulder top,
high-neck white top & my gold fringe sandals.
I 100% want to go back again soon and also visit Martha’s Vineyeard & Nantucket. If you’re planning a Cape Cod trip, make sure to check out Rendevous Cafe, Little Miss Cupcape & definitely spend a day at Keyes beach. Now, where to go next…
Hope you’re all having a great week!
Stylishly Yours,
Erika x
