“Direction is so much more important than speed. Many are going nowhere fast.”

You’ll know from reading my blog that I’m a big fan of investing into good quality, staple pieces. Pieces that are simple enough to make up a number of different looks and pieces which you will have for a very long time. Space is pretty tight, to say the least, in my NYC apartment, so I’ve had to become fussy/strict about what I add to my wardrobe. You may have seen me chat about a big investment I’m hoping to make very soon? I’m still deciding but I’m so excited!

An item of clothing which I find myself so drawn to in the last year or so is The Sleeveless Blazer. They are just the best! I chatted about my vintage one last week and now I’m excited to show you this super chic HANAH NYC version. Anything black & white always gets my vote and the added woven detail just tops it off. I also have my eye on these Khaki, Grey & Black versions.

I can’t believe it’s already Tuesday!? This past weekend was one of the best I’ve had in a while. If you follow me on my @retroflame Instagram & Snapchat (@retroflame1), you’ll have seen that it was a busy one. I squeezed in a Yankees game, a charity run for Concern, a night out with the girls downtown, brunch at Two Hands, a cycle across Brooklyn Bridge and treats from Shake Shack & 16 Handles. Busy but SO fun! More to add to my NYC Weekend Favourites list. These past few days have definitely made me very excited for another Summer in NYC.

Hope you’re all having a great week so far,
Stylishly Yours,
Erika x

That blazer is so gorgeous, I love how you’ve paired it with flared trousers too :) I really need to get a sleeveless blazer for my spring/summer wardrobe.

The woven design at the side of the sleeveless blazer is really unique and cool! Love the flare pants too, flattering and beautiful piece!
