bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Foundation

When it comes to investing into new beauty products, I’m always a little hesitant to move away from what I’m used to. I guess, like many of you, I have a routine and I tend to just stick to it. But since moving to New York, I’ve had to change things up a little and really want to make an effort this year to test out new products. I love living in New York…but I definitely don’t love the air pollution & freezing/skin-drying weather that comes with it.

So first on my list of new products to look for was foundation…and I think I’ve already found a new favourite. You may have seen me share a snap on my snapchat (retroflame1) earlier this week of this new Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream from BareMinerals. It’s a very light, but buildable foundation which glides on really easily and I find it great for the days that I want a more natural and glowing makeup look. I’ve been wearing it all week and my skin already feels healthier. I used to be terrible for looking after my skin, but 2015 is the year that that is all going to change!

I’ve also been trying out lots of other goodies from BareMinerals this week (which were too pretty not to photograph) and I’m really impressed so far. Would you believe I’ve never actually owned any BareMinerals products up until now? I’ve been seriously missing out because the quality & pigmentation of everything I’ve tried so far is amazing. And look at how cute the packaging is!!

Some of my favourites so far are the lipsticks. I’m so so fussy when it comes buying new lipsticks. Being a redhead, I always think I’m a little limited when it comes to colour choice and as well as this, I can only wear really hydrating ones because my lips are a disaster for drying up very quickly. I’ve been enjoying playing with these ones and my favourites so far are ‘Express Yourself‘ and ‘Fall in Love‘.
