“Once she stopped rushing through life, she was amazed at how much more life she had time for”

If you’ve been a reader of Retro Flame me for a while now, you’ll know that after spending my last two Summers here in New York, my love for black & white clothing has grown even more. If you spend a few hours in Soho (the main shopping area) you’ll be guaranteed to see a huge amount of different people and styles. But one thing that will stand out is that New Yorkers LOVE their monochrome outfits. They love black and they certainly do wear A LOT of it. So whenever I’m back here, without even noticing, I gravitate towards my simple, chic, understated and of course, black items. This pleated dress from iClothing couldn’t be more suitable. It’s very Victoria Beckham, isn’t it? I just love the fit and of course, the pleated detail is the perfect finishing touch.

The views from where we Tracy & I shot this looks were just breath-taking. I literally had to pinch myself! Since I got here, I’ve barely had a chance to breathe as things have been so busy trying to settle in, but this view reminded me that every now and again, it’s good to take some time out. Some time to just sit down and take it all in. This city really is incredible!

Hope you’re all having a lovely week – we’re halfway there:)

Stylishly Yours,

Erika x
