I mentioned in this weeks’ posts (NYFW Day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) that I was a little unprepared for fashion week this time around. Basically, I had zero outfits planned & because things were so crazy busy ALL the time, I ended up just choosing my outfit for the day each morning. I’m usually a very organized person and more often than not, I have my outfit picked out the night before, so this was very strange for me. But I had just moved to New York, it was fashion week & I was still more or less living out of a suitcase, so I just had to go with the flow. So long story short, this outfit just kind of randomly happened. I’ve had this Boohoo skirt (Similar Here & Here) for ages but never really had a place to wear it to, so I rediscovered it that morning & quickly paired it with this shirt from H&M and my new heels from iClothing. Despite all the rush, it actually ended up being one of my favourite (& most comfortable) outfits all week! I also went with straight hair for a change too -it’s rare to see my without my wavy curls. What did you guys think?

My favourite shows on NYFW Day 6 were Noon By Noor & Cynthia Rowley. At the Noon by Noor shows, I just loved the textures, colours & the loose ponytails. Everything was understated but still so eye-catching. I’ve picked up so much inspiration & ideas from the shows I attended throughout the week. It really is such an amazing experience to see all these beautiful collections in person.

At this stage of the week, both my Mom & Sister were in New York, so I took a little break from fashion week to have a chilled out evening with them. We did a little shopping, ate the most DELICIOUS ice-cream at Sprinkles (you have to go there!!) and just spent the evening catching up. I literally am still thinking about that ice-cream!! :)

Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing the photos from the last day of fashion week & then it’s back to normal posts again.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend,

Stylishly Yours,

Erika x
