Happy Sunday everyone! You may have seen on my Instagram (@retroflame) that I spent Friday at The Adare Manor in Limerick. I visited this stunning 5* hotel a few weeks back and was absolutely blown away and I’m so grateful that Mom & I got the opportunity to go back and stay the night. As I had travelled down from Galway that morning (and was super tired) I kept my outfit very simple. These cream trousers (similar here) and striped jacket (similar here) are such good wardrobe staples and are the perfect pieces to wear when I’m on the go. Huge thank to my Mom for taking these snaps for me – I really couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop!
On arrival, the staff were so friendly and brought me on a tour of the whole manor where I took lots of photos which you can see below. This buliding & it’s surroundings are just absolutely breath-taking! It’s situated in the heart of the picturesque and adorable village of Adare in Co.Limerick and is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s most evocative & spellbinding castle hotels. Mom & I stayed in one of the junior suites and I was so pleasantly surprised to see a selection of macaroons in my room when I arrived. My absolute favourite, as you know! After we checked in, we went downstairs to have some ‘Sparkling Afternoon Tea‘ in a room which was just made for this type of meal. It’s a room full of warm pink decor, chandeliers, beautiful fresh flowers and the most comfortable of seats. It was just heaven!
Afterwards, we relaxed for a little while in the cocktail bar (where they serve the BEST Mojitos) and then made our way into Adare Village where we had dinner at a stunning restaurant called 1826. The hotel provides a car service which brings you directly into the village, so it couldn’t be easier to get around. We both agreed that it was one of the nicest restaurants we’ve been to in a while! On Saturday morning, we went for a swim in the super peaceful swimming pool downstairs and then devoured some delicious pancakes & coffee at breakfast.
Overall, it was an experience that I will never forget. A night in The Adare Manor had been on my bucket list for quite a while now and it certainly didn’t dissapoint. The facilities, the surroundings, the food, the beauty, the manor itself…..just everything. It’s genuinely like something out of a fairy tail! I think that Adare has definitely become one of my new favourite places here in Ireland. I absolutely love hotels, I always have and I love that I can share all these secret Irish gems with both my Irish readers and also my readers which have never been here in Ireland before. I’ve said it a million times before, but Ireland is just absolutely stunning and I’m looking forward to exploring more places like this throughout the Summer. I’d love to know if you enjoy these type of posts?
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
