“Life is like a book; some chapters are sad, some happy and some exciting. But if you never turn the next page,
you will never know what the next chapter has in store.”
Yesterday, I spent the day at the amazing Kildare Village. It was actually my first time there so I was extra looking forward to the trip. I was invited along to a breakfast event with special guest, Susie Bubble. Susie is one of the first original fashion bloggers and it was very inspiring to listen to all her fashionable opinions and advice. What I really like about her is the fact that, ever since the very beginning, she has stayed 100% true to herself and her style and she really is such an influential voice in this industry. She revealed that she never has those dreaded ‘nothing to wear’ days as she doesn’t believe in stressing out over fashion because, after all, it’s supposed to be fun! She was a pleasure to meet and, undoubtedly, an inspiration to always steer a little bit away from ‘the crowd’.
We were treated to the most amazing breakfast! If you follow me on Instagram (@retroflame) you’ll know how obsessed I am with beautiful decor, so I genuinely was taken aback when I saw the table setting. It was definitely the prettiest (& most delicious) breakfast I’ve had in a while. Afterwards, I had a look around the village and may have just purchased (another) new bag! I was in between minds as it was a little expensive but I decided to splash out in the end as it’s the perfect investment piece. I’ll be posting a pic very soon. As the weather was absolutely beautiful, I wore this new frilled floral top from Miamasvin and my ripped jeans which are my latest obsession. It’s so exciting to be back in pastels and I really hope this sunshine lasts a little longer. A big thank you to Anouska for these lovely photos!
Overall, it was a fantastic day and as I was enjoying my Starbucks iced coffee (the first in SO long) while wandering around in the sunshine, it honestly felt like I was back in NYC which made me so unbelievably happy :)
Hope you’re all having a wonderful week,
