Last night I attended the Kerry Fashion Week New Collections Show at The Malton in Killarney. It was such a wonderful night and opened my eyes to some amazing new designers. I was particularly impressed with the ‘One To Watch’ category and also absolutely loved the whimsical designs (cream dress in above photos) by fellow Kerry/Glenbeigh girl Catherine Kelly. It was such an enjoyable night overall.
I kept my outfit very simple and I just want to say thank you for all the wonderful feedback you’ve given me on my Instagram/Facebook/Twitter. I’m wearing a dress to tonight’s show, so I went with a wide leg trousers and fitted top combo last night. I am obsessed with this black top with chain cuffs (which is now on Sale!!) and also just found the dress version. Such good pieces to have in any wardrobe. A lot of you were also asking me about my cape, which is a design by an Australian brand, Cameo. When I was working at New York Fashion Week two years with Whitney Port, I met an Australian girl backstage who was wearing this cape and immediately fell in love! As soon as I got back to Ireland a few days later, I ordered it right away. It’s such an unusual piece and really dresses up an outfit. It’s definitely a piece which you’ll see me wear very often here on Retro Flame.
Tonight I’m off to The Europe Hotel for the Kerry Fashion Week awards ceremony which I’m very excited about. We’ll be sitting down to a 4-course meal and there will also be more fashion on show, so be sure to stay tuned to my Instagram (@retroflame) for updates throughout the night.
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
