“Don’t settle. Don’t finish crappy books. If you don’t like the menu, leave the restaurant.
If you’re not on the right path, get off it.” – Chris Brogan
I don’t really do the whole ‘New Years Resolution’ thing (as I rarely stick to them) so this year instead I’ve decided to pick out a few mantras/quotes and try my very best to keep them in mind throughout the year. The above quote is one example and I’ll be sharing the others over the next few weeks. I’ve always been a believer that there is absolutely no point in doing some half right; you have to either 100% enjoy it and do it well or you really just shouldn’t do it at all. This outlook has showed me that you should never settle for something that is just ‘OK’, you have to keep going until you find that career/hobby/lifestyle which you truly love and are happy to wake up to everyday. So 2014 should be the year where we all stop & ask ourselves what exactly is it that we really want to achieve and then immediately start to strive for just that.
Today was quite a busy one full of meetings (I’m working on some new projects this week) so I kept my outfit quite simple. You rarely see me in jeans, but these ripped ones are a favourite of mine. I picked them up in Zara just before Christmas and there’s a very similar pair here on Asos too. The rest of my outfit was quite monochrome with a little hint of gold through my Nixon Watch, jewellery and new Parfois Clutch Bag.
Hope you’ve all had a lovely Wednesday!
